1. The last date the conference office will receive
2006 apportionment payments is 12:00 noon on January
11th. Payments must be received in David Seilheimer's
office on that date. So if you are sending a check,
you need to send it "overnight express" in order for it
to reach his office in time. Regular mail will not
reach him in time.
2. Year end "Check Out" information is to be entered
by January 18th with a hard copy sent to the district
office. Don't forget to include a copy of your year
end ChurchTransformation survey report.
3. Our next Pastors/Professionals meeting is scheduled
for Tuesday, January 30th at FUMC Falfurrias. Our
meeting will begin at 9:00 am. Lunch will be served at
12:00 noon for $5 per person.
4. Immediately following lunch at FUMC Falfurrias on
Tuesday, January 30th, the District Board of Ordained
Ministry will meet at 1:30 p.m.
5. Now is the time to elect your "Lay Person of the
Year". Please send me the name and a brief, short
paragraph. The McNorth banquet is a 12:00 noon
luncheon at FUMC Alice on Saturday, February 24th. The
McSouth banquet is a 5:30 p.m. dinner at St. Mark UMC
on Sunday, February 25th.
