KAIROS # 2

Here is a message from John Holden, the Lay director-Kairos #2: 

Attention: EMMAUS COMMUNITY

Karios # 2 at the Segovia prison in Edinburg will be March l5th, l6th, l7th, & l8th.  We have found a Church in Edinburg & a hotel willing to put us up at very Fair rates.  We can guarantee all male volunteers a table if they like. (no need to wait a year as in Emmaus)  To qualify to begin with all volunteers must be trained.

If you are even pondering being a part of this please go to kairosoftexas.com and down load an application for training immediately.  There will be training at Segovia on December 2, 2006. (Saturday morning) One is not committed at this point; only trained which is good for 2 years.

I'd like to share my experiences a little starting 7 plus years ago when I did my first Kairos after attending a Karios closing: I thought I'd be a good ole boy and take Jesus in the prison (like He was not already there) After the week-end I cried for about 20 days.  Yep!  Karios is Emmaus on steroids.  The first time God talked to me was in prison ministry; the first time God started giving my talks was in prison (the word says if we'll make our mouths available He'll put the words & does); The first time I've personally seen the heads of the Mexican mafia, black panthers, etc give their lives to the Lord. In other words you'll see the bible come alive like no where else. We are a ministry that does not go away! We have prayer & share weekly & reunions once a month & 2 days twice a year.

For you ladies, I recommend that you join & be trained as well! (the training by the way is free)  We might spend the time with our brothers in white inside while your on the outside making us look good (ie: cooking/packing cookies/PRAYING/& in general fellowshipping with another of Gods? teams.

There will be upcoming meetings early next year which all are & will be invited just to come out & hear what Kairos is all about.  We hope we are in your prayers & you consider Matthew 25:36 ?I was in prison, and ye came unto me?
