FROM CHURCH TO CHURCH, AMEN!

AMEN to Edinburg FUMC for placing their children’s playground right out front for the community to see.

AMEN to Falfurrias UMC and Premont UMC for planning combined worship celebrations followed by outside, out front activities.  The neighbors drove by slowly and some neighborhood children stopped over to enjoy the hot dogs and water activities.  As their pastor says, “That’s Evangelism.”

AMEN to Mission FUMC for their new playground that is already being used by the children of the ESL students, the children of the food panty clients and the children of the community.

AMEN to San Benito UMC for making Large Print Bulletins and Hearing Aid Devices available each Sunday for the community.

AMEN to Raymondville FUMC for combining efforts with the DAV and local American Legion to distribute boxes of food monthly to disabled veterans in Willacy County.

Raymondville FUMC fellowship hall

AMEN to Mission FUMC for their Stitches of Love Group. Thirty-four sweaters were sent to Guidepost Magazine for their Knit For Kids program, receiving blankets were made for newborns at Mission Hospital, and lap quilts were made for folks at Mission Nursing Home.

AMEN to St John UMC for hosting 40 community folks at an organizational meeting for the Cub Scout pack that will meet at the church. Initial scout enrollment is 13.

AMEN to Trinity UMC for presenting their 30th prayer shawl in September.

Trinity UMC Prayer Shawl Group began praying and knitting last year.

AMEN to Harlingen FUMC for melding their two sites with combined activities for children.

AMEN to Brownsville FUMC for celebrating World Communion Sunday by inviting all the pastors from neighboring Matamoras to participate in their Sunday morning worship service.
